The silicone seal in your lid is the one part of a Stainless Co. product that eventually wears out. After a few years of dishwasher cycles it compresses, loses its spring, and stops sealing the way it did on day one. That isn't a defect. It's what silicone does.
So we sell you a new one. For a few euros, for as long as you own the product.
That is the whole difference between a container you replace and a container you keep.
Each seal is cut for one specific lid. Choose the size that matches the product you already own — a 480 ml seal will not fit a 1200 ml lid, and the bottle cap ring fits nothing else.
These seals are not compatible with containers, lunch boxes or bottles from other brands. Seal geometry is specific to the lid it was designed for, and we would rather you buy nothing than buy something that doesn't seal.
Everything we make is 304 food-grade stainless steel and one food-grade silicone seal. That is the entire list, across the whole range — lids and bottle caps included.
This is the second material. We named it on the page before you found it in the box, and we'll keep it in stock for as long as you own the thing it belongs to.
