Material: 304 food-grade stainless steel, body and lid. One food-grade silicone seal. No plastic touches your food.
Leak resistance: Leak-resistant. Clip-locking lids with a food-grade silicone seal. We say resistant, not proof — the seal is a consumable, and we would rather you knew that than find out.

Wash before first use. Dishwasher safe. Remove the silicone seals occasionally and rinse separately. Dry thoroughly before storing. Not suitable for the microwave — here is how to heat food without one.

Order before 12:00 on a weekday and it leaves our warehouse the same day. Everything ships tracked, so you can see where it is. Delivery after that: 1–3 business days in the Netherlands, 3–7 in the rest of the EU.

The Starter Set is the switch: three containers — two round, one rectangular — that take over from the mismatched stack you have been meaning to deal with. The old boxes go in a carton and the shelf suddenly makes sense. What remains is 304 stainless steel with one named silicone seal per lid, and ten years of guarantee on the steel. You make this decision once. That is the whole idea.

And what it won't do

It doesn't go in the microwave. You can't see through it. It's heavier than plastic. If that matters more, buy something else.

We're not here to tell you plastic is dangerous. Nobody can tell you that honestly. We're here because"nobody knows yet"isn't a good enough answer for the thing your dinner sits in for three days.

Straight answers

Before you buy

No. Steel never goes in a microwave — not ours, not anybody's. It is the one real trade-off in owning steel, and we would rather you knew it before you bought than after. There is a short guide on the site for reheating without one.

Yes, all of it. Lids on the top rack. Let everything dry fully before you put it away — steel doesn't mind water, but water left standing leaves lime marks.

Leak-resistant, and we won't say leakproof. Upright in a bag or a fridge it holds. On its side with soup in it, we wouldn't bet on it. The seal is silicone and silicone wears out — which is why we sell spares instead of pretending it won't.

Yes. Steel doesn't go brittle in the cold and it won't crack the way glass can. Leave a couple of centimetres of headspace so the food has room to expand as it freezes.

No. Steel is non-porous, so garlic, curry and fish don't stay behind the way they do in plastic. The one place odour can linger is the silicone seal — take it out and wash it separately now and then.

Yes. Steel scratches — a fork, a brush and a dishwasher rack all leave marks eventually. The difference is what a scratch means. In plastic it is somewhere for oils and colour to settle. In steel it is cosmetic and nothing else.
